As you may know, VHS tapes do degrade over time - though it generally takes 30+ years for them to start losing quality. But even if they are 30-40 years old, they should still be playable! What this does mean is that they don’t last forever, and every passing year is another year closer to losing our precious family memories we’ve captured on tape.
